Community Engagement for Brand Marketing Executive- MyAssignmenthelp

Question: Discuss about theCommunity Engagement for Brand Marketing Executive. Answer: The job profile selected for the present Work Ready Skills Profile is Brand Marketing Executive. The job profile of a Brand Marketing Executive demands an individual to be responsible for the branding and design output for the company, marketing the product to the target consumers and achieving growth through regular incorporation of consumer feedback into the input-output process. An individual holding the post needs to take the ownership of the company brand identiy and work through technical and non-technical lines to promote new marketing collateral across the business (Ebert et al. 2014). The following is the Work Ready Skills Action Plan for the three skills that are to be developed in alignment with the job profile selected. Work Ready Skills Action Plan Own Perspective Short Term Plan (8 weeks) Long Term Plan (2 years) Communication I have faced difficulties at times while expressing my viewpoints in front of others and this has often led to misunderstandings. Lack of proper communication has also given rise to conflicts and stress which have been the prime reason for uncertainty in fulfilment of responsibility that I have taken up. One of the primary requirements for a brand marketing executive is excellent communication skills. This has to be both in verbal and written form. Ideas and viewpoints that an executive comes up with have to be translated into practice, and this can only be achieved when the person is able to make other stakeholders understand the generated ideas through effective communication (Luxton, Reid and Mavondo 2015). One way to improve my communication skills would be to practice how to outline and organise my thoughts before sharing the valuable piece of information with others. When there is a need to communicate an important message, a brief list of items is to be created covering all the important points. Jotting down the points and putting them in order would help in sending the message, verbally or in written form, in a clear manner. The list is to be kept in mind while speaking to someone or writing to someone. This, when practised for about 8 weeks, would enhance the ability to communicate effectively. It would be beneficial to get enrolled in a professional course on communication skills that would provide with proper training and guidance on communicating desirably. Taking initiatives to participate in public speaking and business writing would add to the value of completing a professional course. The duration of the course might vary anytime between 6 months to one year. During this time and after the completion of the course, it is necessary to evaluate own development through regular feedback from peers (McGrath 2014). Team work It would be beneficial to get enrolled in a professional course on communication skills that would provide with proper training and guidance on communicating desirably. During this time and after the completion of the course, it is necessary to evaluate own development through regular feedback from peers (McGrath 2014). The second concern arising in terms of work skills required for the position of a brand marketing executive is that I need to develop my ability to work in teams. I have the realisation that teamwork is an aspect that I need to develop within my key strength areas as I have experienced failures to work in collaboration with team members in previous ventures. According to Riebe, Girardi and Whitsed (2016) team work is an inevitable in marketing communication. Goo d coordination among the team members is essential for managing the overall task being set. It is likely that collaboration and mutual understanding among members increase the chances of success of the venture. For improving my skills of working in a team, I would follow a series of simple steps that together would help me in being a perfect team member. It is necessary to respect other members ideas and viewpoints while working in a team and therefore I would make it a point to consider others opinion while putting forward my opinion. Acknowledging and appreciating others boost the morale in a team and would abide by this principle in future. I would also take initiatives to have a positive outlook towards work (Warrick 2017). For developing team work skills on the long run, I would take part in webinars and seminars conducted on teamwork in work settings. Taking part in these seminars or webinars would help me enhance my skills and expertise and give the opportunity to learn novice methods to work with others in a working environment. This would be a continual process as I can choose to take part in these seminars or webinars as per my convenience (Brock et al. 2017). Planning and organising The third domain that needs immediate attention is planning and organising skills. I lack the ability to plan and carry out tasks in an organised manner for which I often have to leave out certain tasks uncompleted within the required time. It is crucial for a marketing professional to have high levels of planning and organising skills as with this skill a professional is able to prioritise the to-do tasks as per their importance and complete them within the stipulated time. For managing the tasks to be completed and delivering them when and where required, it is pivotal that a professional is able to organise it with all the vital elements in place (Hood and Young 2016). For improving planning and organising skills in a short span of time, I need to start practising prioritising my tasks before hand. I would practice making a to-do list regarding tasks that I need to complete for the day and then determine which tasks are to be finished urgently. I would then set a time frame within which I would complete all the tasks. Practising this would surely enhance my ability to determine the priority level of new tasks and complete them without failure. For maintaining the ability to plan and organise tasks, I would utilise online tools that aids one in planning and executing tasks swiftly. Email-programs would typically include a calendar that would allow me to keep track of my deadlines. A comprehensive and adaptive project-management software would simplify the manner in tasks are set and done. In addition, I would engage in the continual practice of taking part in online sessions that have focused on teaching planning and organising skills. This would expose me to a wide range of situations and make me able to handle difficult situations requiring a high level of expertise (Warhurst 2017).
